Do you experience supernatural phenomena?
When you constantly work within the realms of the supernatural, as I do, you encounter experiences in a much more surrealistic way. I find life much more satisfying and exciting when I play in the energetic fields outside of our third dimension. With a little practice you too can have spontaneous and natural ‘psychedelic’ experiences.
My experiences tend to be visual in nature. Some of these visions are profound and have deeply impacted my life. My foremost vision was that of an ancient warrior. This apparition appeared to me as a military officer from the times of the Roman Empire. It was dawn and I was about to rise from bed to get my family ready for school and work. This figure was totally real to me and it was freaking me out. The soldier began to communicate with me through some type of mind-meld. I don’t remember the words or really much of anything but the entire episode felt very nurturing and serene. I was fixated on the soldier for what seemed like the longest minute of my life. Finally, I turned away and prayed for the experience to end. I slowly looked back and the apparition was no longer there. I quickly returned to reality but was forever changed. This experience served as the catalyst for discovering my life work as a medium.
Fortunately, not all of my experiences are that immense and meaningful. Awaking to a Roman soldier everyday would be way too crazy! On a less dramatic level, I experience visions that can be characterized as flashing blue lights. These flashes tend to be signals from the Otherside for me to open up to messages. Other psychic phenomena happen to me, now and again, but it is the visions that are most typical and eventful. I strive to interpret all of my experiences in terms of the supernatural. This helps keep me spiritually honest.
How would you characterize your psychic powers and what are the benefits of such gifts?
To begin, the supernatural ways of life rarely lead to wealth and esteem. Up to this time, I have never won a lottery. One can hope for fame and fortune but serendipity seems to rule over psychic powers in such matters. Any benefits come through the immaterial ways of love, joy, and peace.
I really don’t have any psychic powers such as reading minds or forecasting the future. What I do possess is a strong intuitive nature. I have always been very sensitive to what people are thinking and feeling. While in the presence of another, I’m able to decipher a great deal about a person’s personality and current emotional state. This is a knack I use faithfully in my work as a spiritual counselor. I trust my intuition implicitly. It allows me to adjust my course of guidance to the meet the needs of those people who come to me for help and support. Many of these people are in extreme psychic pain and they do not readily reveal the extent of their suffering and distress. In these circumstances, I let my intuition take the lead.
My supernatural power lies in the ability to channel with the spirit world. This highly attuned gift allows me to channel with souls who have passed-over to the Otherside. Over the years, I have connected with thousands of souls in behalf of their loved ones. Souls make themselves available to me without any reservation and they speak through me in a conversational manner. Their spirit will come forward and address the larger issues of life in a loving and supporting way. Souls are not in a position where they can help you with earthly matters such as finding a missing document but they will give you advice and counsel on how to live with integrity and faith.
Spiritual gifts take hard work to develop. In my case, I had to be fully committed to learn the art of channeling at the highest level for it to benefit others. Everyone has some degree of psychic ability, but few people cultivate it through dedicated practice. I actually had to drop out of the mainstream of life for several years to refine my talents. This gift of channeling is now a way of life for me and it is the most important thing I do.
What is the difference between a psychic and a medium?
Defining the various metaphysical practices is a difficult undertaking. There are no specific professional criterion or standards for a practitioner to follow. People who are in touch with their supernatural gifts primarily offer help to family and friends and generally do not take their services public. They tend to specialize in an art such as reading tarot cards or a healing technique such as reiki. So a practitioner is defined according to the specific service provided rather than a term such as psychic or medium. Other new-age practices have brought forward designations such as medical intuitive and life coach. I’m sure the public has a difficult time understanding all of these metaphysical concepts and services. Although I practice fulltime as a medium, when required to list my occupation on a document I put counselor to avoid confusion and derision!
This is how I distinguish between a psychic and medium in terms of the type of services provided. A psychic personally feels or senses a particular choice another person should consider or uses a tool such as cards to do so. For instance, a psychic offers advice to another about ‘which person to date’ or ‘what job to take’ as read by way of cards. A medium would directly bring forth the voice of the spirit world to address the same things. The assumption being, the ego of the medium is set aside as the spirit world is channeling guidance through the medium. Both approaches can be highly enlightening and the relative worth truly relates to the level of integrity, experience, and consciousness of the practitioner.
How does your approach to channeling differ from other mediums?
Mediums who help the public are diverse in the way they channel. Some mediums receive messages that are very grounded and concrete. They are very good at bringing forward personal characteristics or private information related to loved-ones that have passed over. Many people are looking for proof or a sign that the message is authentic. Other mediums go into a trance state of mind and deliver messages from the beyond. These mediums typically present information as a running monologue and afterward do not recollect its content. A few mediums channel messages in the manner of a dialogue and are fully conscious while doing it. Their messages allow for a back and forth exchange with souls.
When I channel, the Otherside plays me like an instrument. The tone, tempo, and words that come forth wholly represent the spirit realm. The content of the messages relates to a universal or collective perspective. There is a palpable energy that can be felt when the Otherside presents itself through my voice and body. I love the vibe that I receive when I channel and the people that I help tell me it’s their most extraordinary spiritual experience.
What about quackery in the various practices of the paranormal?
Of course there is deception in the psychic or medium trade. Deceit is a difficult thing to recognize when the service provided is based on trust and faith. Many people seeking this form of guidance are in a vulnerable place because of a personal loss and their judgement can be blinded to fraud.
I had an experience with a ‘bad’ psychic who declared that my marriage was destined to fail. The psychic related a story of how I had left my present-day husband at the altar in a previous lifetime. The psychic was emphatic that karma associated with the experience still hung heavy over us as a couple. She told me to come back in several days so she could pray about this matter. When I did return, the psychic indicated that she had to do intense work with the spirit world to save my marriage and the fee for this service was five thousand dollars. Yikes! No, I was not a practicing medium at that time.
To find a reputable psychic or medium, rely upon a personal referral from someone who has had a satisfactory experience. It is best to talk with the practitioner for a few minutes while making an appointment. Make sure you are clear on the fee and how long the session will last. If all appears to be satisfactory, then make the visit with an open mind and heart.
Is there a way to scientifically prove that your powers are genuine?
Science has no way of testing the validity of spirit connection and other psychic phenomena. After all, this is the spirit kingdom and the energy associated with it is outside the reach of scientific instruments. The practice of connecting with the Otherside is best left to trust and faith. It doesn’t matter to me if my gift can be validated or not. The lives that change everyday because of the messages I deliver are testimony enough. My loyal clients keep coming back to visit with me and my substantial practice is entirely based on word-of-mouth.
There are those who spend much time attempting to debunk metaphysical practices. Skeptics will always look for things they can doubt or dissent. Channeling is not for everybody. Those people who believe they can benefit from such experiences seem to find an authentic psychic or medium to help them. All unbelievers please stay away!
